“Meet Me At The Ocean
View Fishing Pier!”
That’s definitely a sentence that has been said
thousands of times since the Ocean View Fishing Pier
was completed in 2006. The pier was built by Judy
and Ronnie Boone, Sr. and it replaced Harrison’s
Fishing Pier after that pier was destroyed by Hurricane
Isabel on Sept. 18, 2003. A Norfolk landmark, the
iconic pier stretches out into the Chesapeake Bay
1,690 feet and is reportedly the longest fishing pier
in the United States. In addition to all things needed
for fishing, the pier also features a full menu restaurant
and a comfortable upper deck with spectacular views
